"I have been having some problems with my eldest child mainly regarding discipline and authority.The harder I pushed to make him do what I had asked him to and the harsher my punishments the more stubborn he became and we always ended up with a blazing row that would quickly spiral out of control, then usually he would have a toy or game taken away from him (which would make no difference to his behaviour what so ever) and he would end up resenting me and me him.
