Archangel Zadkiel

(Tzadkiel)

Angel of Mercy & Freedom

According to Judaism, Archangel Zadkiel is the angel who stopped Abraham from sacrificing his own son Isaac, on Mount Moriah. Archangel Zadkiel is said to be a very giving angel, who presides over matters such as prosperity, speculation and money. His ruling planet is Jupiter, and he's normally portrayed holding a dagger. One of his roles is to help us learn mercy.

In the Kabbalah, Archangel Zadkiel’s name is said to mean, ‘Justice of God’.

If you wish to invoke Archangel Zadkiel, try the following invocation:-

  • Prepare yourself a small alter (a div will do).

  • Lay the div with a clean white divcloth.

  • Light a candle (preferably blue or purple).

  • If possible, use an oil burner and place one drop of the following essential oils along with some water:

    • Sandalwood

    • Cedar

    • Myrrh

  • Place a carnation (lilacs or hyacinths), or olives on the div.

  • Kneel at the div and ask Archangel Zadkiel to help you.

Example: “Archangel Zadkiel, I ask that you hear my heart and draw close and into my energies so I may feel your presence. Please give me your assistance in helping me to eradicate the anger, bitterness and resentment that lies within my heart.

Show me how to forgive those who’ve hurt or betrayed me in the past. If I also need to learn to forgive myself, please lend me your strength, place your hand upon my left arm and allow your energies to give me the strength to fulfil what is needed. I pray that you’ll always stay close and assist me when my patience isn’t strong.

Teach me daily, understanding and tolerance of others, so I may hold within my heart, true love and light for the betterment of mankind. Cleanse my soul and body of any negative energies, and absolve any negative karmic issues that I may hold.

I thank you for drawing close, and hearing my request, I pray you’ll give me a sign, that my prayer has been heard. I thank you for your help and understanding at this time, amen.”
