Glenn's Diary

Chapter 10

11th August 2205

Back at school: Justice for the children

Very quickly the word spread back at school. Peeder became a target for most of the lads, and a source of ridicule for the lasses. The more confident lasses would tease him with innuendos about his tendencies. The tougher lads would deliberately barge into him in corridors and then make insincere apologies.

We did whatever we could to make his life a misery both in and out of class. There was feedback from some of the lads that he was preying off the introverted people in the showers. He'd volunteer to be a stand-in or helper for PE, so that he could get in the shower with the lads. You've never seen lads undress and get showered so quick in your life.

But he was sly. He didn't want a crowd. He'd wait for the showers to disperse and then keep some of his 'regulars' behind under the pretence of needing to talk to them. He'd walk into the shower with a hard on, hoping we'd notice and make comment, or get aroused ourselves; but what he got from some of us, was a snapping towel on his dick.

We'd learnt how to handle him now, yet 'still' we'd not gone to the authorities.

Eventually Lanky; who'd been abused the most; finally did.

All hell let loose. Every boy in the school was interviewed by Police and teachers. The 'touch' count was high. In excess of 40 lads made a complaint and gave a statement.

Mum and Dad never did hear about Peeder. It was all kept hush-hush after that. No-one would talk of him, or the experience again. Peeder disappeared from school. We heard he did some 'time' and then I saw him on the street in the centre of Sheffield about 12 years later. My skin crawled.

You have to wonder about the long-term effect on some of the people he 'touched'.

Lanky left home not long after he left school. None of his parents or old friends know where he is, to this day.

One of the other lads who was abused seriously ended up doing ‘time’ himself.

For me; it made me stronger and more defiant; to be able to confront people like that in public, without fear. My self-esteem was growing.
